Part Two

We enjoyed a wonderful picnic with pasta salad, brie and crackers, ham and chicken salad sandwiches, Greek salad, and delicious chocolate cake. We then laid back on the proposal blanket, talked about all the details of how Matthew was able to pull it off, and mostly just admired my ring!

We then walked the beach and looked for small shells that I'll use in our scrapbook and to make a Christmas ornament. This is when I stopped to draw a heart with YES in it! Here's our attempt at an artsy photograph - except I didn't draw the heart in the right direction:
After our walk, we headed to the 7-11 to purchase a Coca-Cola Classic, our favorite! We sipped our Coke and headed to the Melbourne Beach pier for a quick stroll. Our next stop was my mom's. She was amazing! She had everything ready for us, as she knew the proposal was happening. Among the sweet presents she had for us, she got us License to Wed. She made me a special peanutbutter pie and special ordered tea called Wedding: A Tea for Marriage! It was so much fun to get Matthew and my mom together. They were so relieved the "lying" was over!
Among the special things my mom had ready for us (the aforementioned tea, dvd, pie), she also had ready sweet bird ornaments with clay pots (for a hands of the Potter reference), companion framed bird pictures, a unity candle of sorts, and champagne in a cute little bottle called Pop! This was our second toast:
We took my mom for a celebratory dinner at The Cracker Barrel and then it was time to head over to his parents' house to share our good news with them.
